For the last 50 years the Trans Tasman Cup has been contested between the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. Since 1974 it has been a tradition for sailors to take turns to cross the ditch for some friendly competition.

RSYS was represented by two teams at the recent 2024 Women’s Sportsboat Regatta hosted by Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron in Victoria. The event drew eight entries, including local contenders from Blairgowrie and around Port Philip Bay.

Last weekend 24 teams competed at the NSW Secondary Schools Teams Racing Championship.

The RSYS Sailing Committee is calling upon Members to nominate an appropriate person for one of the five significant awards for the 2023-2024 sailing season.
