RSYC Choir
There will be a meeting to introduce the idea in the Hudleston Bar at 6pm on Friday 6th July.
On Saturday 10th November, at the Club’s Opera Gala, the RSYC Choir will sing two opera choruses. The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves will be sung just the the choir and for Brindisi, we will be joined by soloists Zita and Stephen.
At the 6th July meeting the study aids will be explained and distributed for you to look at and listen to. These materials are sound files, sheet music, lyrics, and videos to help you learn your part at home.
At 7.30pm on Tuesday 24th July the choir will all get together with our accompanist and have a first run-through of the two pieces.
Rehearsals will start in earnest in September and it's expected to have 8 or more sessions, all at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings. In the middle of October we will be joined by Stephen, who will take us through our paces and make some recommendations for our last two or three rehearsals.
