SUMMARY:RSYC Clay Pigeon Shoot & Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Our Autumn event of 2026 will take place at Top Targets\, Tapnell Farm at 10am on Saturday 12th September. Hopefully as many of you as possible will take part in what is a very enjoyable morning’s shoot. \nDirections for those who are not familiar: From Freshwater\, follow the B3399 (Middle Road) from Afton towards Calbourne. Approximately 1 ½ miles along the B3399\, you will find Tapnell Farm on the left. It is well signposted and also has signs for Top Targets. As you enter the Tapnell Farm drive\, there is a turning to the right at the top of the slope\, signposted to Top Targets\, and parking is at the end of this unmade road. For SatNavs\, postcode is PO41 0YJ. \nGuns must hold a Shotgun License and bring it with them on the day\, or signify on the sign-up list if they have no license. Due to noise restrictions\, subsonic cartridges must be used\, and for 12 and 20 bore guns\, these are included in the cost of the shoot. There are no such restrictions for people shooting 410 guns so you should bring your own cartridges if you plan to shoot with a 410.\n \nWe plan to shoot 10 stands of 10 clays per stand and will return to the Clubhouse in time for lunch around 1330. The best score of the day will win the coveted trophy\, but I am sure the current holder will put up a good fight to retain it. \nMenu  \nChicken & Leek Pie with Creamed Potatoes\, Carrots & Peas \n~\nLimoncello Tiramisu \nThe cost for shooting using 12g or 20g guns (inclusive of 100 cartridges) is £70.00\, while the cost for shooting using a 410 gun is £35.00 (with the owner providing their own cartridges). Numbers for the shoot will be limited to 18\, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Cost of lunch is £24.95 per   person\, and partners would be most welcome to join us for the lunch. Guests are welcome to join the shoot if you wish (although they are not eligible to compete for the cup). \nCancellations are allowed up until Monday 7th September\, when we have to give final numbers.
