Laser Training

30th July ~ 3rd August 2026 

Open to all ages who wish to improve their skills

We run two groups;
T-Group for sailors moving over from Picos and other dinghies, and
Intermediate Group for sailors looking to improve their Laser skills.

All sailors must be competent on the water, able to launch & recover, sail a ‘sausage’ and a ‘triangle’ course and tack/gybe comfortably. 

The days run 0900 – 1700 with each group having two days training initially with groups run on different days according to the wind strength.  The instructors will decide by Wednesday 29th July which groups will run for days 1-4, then all groups are afloat on day 5, 3rd August. 

RSYC Club lasers are available to hire (members only) but most sailors bring their own and store them onsite for the duration of the training week. 

Dinghy Week is the following week which most of the Laser Training sailors then do, which consolidates their learning brilliantly. 

RSYC Sunset Series is third week of August, a series of four evenings with two races each evening, providing further consolidation opportunities.
