Open to all ages wanting to improve their skills.
This course is aimed at the small dinghy sailor wishing to step up and also the competent laser sailor looking to improve skills. All sailors need to be confident in launch and recover, sail a sausage and triangle course, tack and gybe comfortably.
If this sounds like you and you want to improve your skills, this course is tailored made. You will build on your existing skills and knowledge, improve your sailing techniques and manoeuvres and develop an understand of safety at sea.
You will be supervised by our trained instructors throughout the course with the aim of having fun whilst learning. Food and drink is included.
We run two groups (a) for sailors moving up from picos and other similar dinghies and (b) an intermediate group for sailors looking to improve their laser skills.
Bring your own laser or hire one of the clubs.
This is then followed by our Dinghy Week 10-13 August where you can put your learning in action and race against all. Our dinghy week is open to all ages and is a fun event with a bit of Derek Sandy singalong in the middle. Also the infamous Fandango Race (fancy dress sailing). Open for bookings, don’t miss out.
