In an exciting international collaboration with Austria’s Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel in the Ötztal Alps, a seven-night half board stay for two persons sharing the luxury hotel’s 1889 Panorama Suite will be available to win in this year's Taittinger Regatta, with the winner to be drawn out of a hat from the winning boats in each class - however, only those physically present at the Prize Giving will be able to win this prize!
This year's lucky recipients will also enjoy usage of the four star hotel's luxurious spa facilities and fitness club. And to top it all off a bottle of Taittinger Champagne will be on ice in the living room of the suite, awaiting the winner’s arrival.

Last year's winners of this exceptional prize, Chris & Hannah Neve of No Regrets, had a wonderful week at the Edelweiss & Gurgl and shared the following feedback with us after their trip:
"After the excitement of No Regrets being pulled from the hat, we realised later what a fabulous prize we had won: the 1889 Panorama Suite has 2 balconies, 2 sofas in the lounge and a free-standing bath with views of the mountains! We arrived in early December, with the hotel looking fabulous in its Christmas finery. The staff were brilliant with nothing being too much trouble and the food in the two restaurants was amazing. Neither Chris nor I ski, but the snow was fantastic and we had a great time going up and down the ski lifts, sampling the refreshments and enjoying the mountain air and views on the well-marked hiking trails. It was noticeable that sailing and skiing share a common theme of hard work on the sea/slopes, then much time discussing the day with beer in hand!"

Terms & Conditions
- One prize, referred to as “The Prize”, is for 7 nights half board accommodation for 2 persons sharing the 1889 Panorama Suite at the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel in the Ötztal Alps in Austria, plus usage of its spa facilities and fitness club. A bottle of Taittinger Champagne will be on ice in the living room of the suite, awaiting the winner’s arrival.
- The Prize excludes all costs incurred to travel to and from the hotel.
- The Prize is subject to the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel’s terms and conditions, available separately on request.
- Other charges which may apply (including but not limited to) security deposits, activities, entertainment, equipment hire, ski passes and insurance are to be paid for by the winner unless otherwise stated.
- The Prize can only be redeemed directly from the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel.
- The Prize may be redeemed at any time within 10 months of the draw, at least one month's notice of the dates the winner wishes to book is required by the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel. Booking of The Prize is subject to availability and excludes the Christmas & New Year period and February.
- Postponement can be arranged if The Prize cannot be redeemed due to Covid-19 regulations in place in the UK and Austria.
- The winning boat will be drawn “from a hat” containing the names of the overall winning boats from each of the classes that have competed in all the races in the Taittinger Royal Solent Yacht Club Regatta 2023, however only those physically present at the Prize Giving will be able to win this prize.
- The draw will take place during the prize giving ceremony on Sunday 16th July 2023.
- The Prize is for the winner of the competition concerned, it is not transferable to a third party outside of the boat crew, unless explicitly agreed by the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel and it cannot be sold.
- No cash alternative is available to the stated prize.
- The promoter reserves the right to withdraw, extend or amend the prize draw at any time.
- The winner's name may be posted on the social media pages and websites of the Royal Solent Yacht Club and the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel after the winner has been selected, along with a post regarding the winner & their prize. In accepting The Prize, the winner grants the Royal Solent Yacht Club and the Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel permission to use their name, likeness and a statement for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited).
- The prize draw is governed by English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with it.
- The prize draw result is final and correspondence will not be entered into.
- The Royal Solent Yacht Club and the other Regatta sponsors (Taittinger, River Yar Boatyard and Wight Marine) are in no way liable for any personal injury or death that occurs as a result of any activity undertaken during the redemption of The Prize.
- Acceptance of The Prize by the winner confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
