The RSYC helpline volunteers continue to be out and about delivering prescriptions for Yarmouth Pharmacy.

We are delivering about 100 prescriptions a day in two shifts. Katie Davies picks up from Tim at the Pharmacy at 11am every day and her team deliver the same day. I pick up a second batch at 5pm for sorting and delivery the next morning. Any urgent prescriptions are delivered straight away. Our reception on the doorstep is always one of deep gratitude and Tim thanks us every day for the support that the Royal Solent is giving him. He is literally rushed off his feet night and day. The other day we were able to help a very vulnerable 97 year old lady who had a blocked loo; she has no family and no one to turn to. To the rescue came “The Rodfather“ from Ryde on a Sunday morning with the job completed in 10 minutes and no charge for his services. So a big shout out to Paul at The Rodfather. I cannot thank him enough nor recommend his services to you more highly.

If anyone needs a prescription delivered or indeed anything from the Chemist, we are happy to deliver. You need to ring Tim and his hard working team directly on 760260. If anything needs to be paid for you can pay over the phone and we will deliver.

Update, 15th June

With the gradual easing of lockdown and after consultation with Tim the pharmacist, we have decided to reduce the number of deliveries a week.  For any households still shielding or for those unable to get to the shop, we can continue to deliver your prescriptions -  if you still require deliveries please notify the pharmacy (tel. 760260), otherwise it will be assumed that you no longer need this service.
